<p><strong>Old-Fashioned Oats </strong><br>The base of this recipe, oats provide fiber and whole grain goodness. You can substitute for quick oats for a smoother texture, but the old-fashioned ones offer a chewier bite. </p>

<p><strong>Honey</strong><br>Act as a natural sweetener and helps bind the mixture together. </p>



<p><strong>Chia Seeds</strong><br>Adding chia seeds is optional but highly recommended for an extra boost of omega-3's and fiber.   </p>



<p><strong>Mini M&amp;M</strong><br>These little candies add a pop of color and sweetness and will be a favorite for the kids.  If you want to remove the M&amp;M for a healthier option, I love replacing the M&amp;M's for dried cranberries.  </p>

<p>3.<strong> Shape the Bites: </strong>Scoop the oat energy bites into small one inch balls using a spoon or ice cream scoop.  Roll them into bite-sized balls.</p>



<p>4. <strong>Chill and Store: </strong>Place the energy bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.  Once the energy bites are set, store them in a airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. </p>
