Prosciutto Parmesan Twist

A holiday appetizer that is easy, festive and super delicious! Prosciutto Parmesan Twists are made with puff pastry, sliced prosciutto and shredded parmesan shaped into a Christmas tree and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry 10" square
  • ¼ Cup Olive Oil
  • ¼ Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 6 Slices Prosciutto
  • Garnish: Fresh Rosemary and Fresh Thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Lay 2 defrosted square of puff pastry on the counter and using a pastry brush, brush each side with a light coating of olive oil
  • Place one puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet and sprinkle the shredded parmesan to cover one side of the puff pastry sheet
  • Lay the prosciutto over the parmesan to evenly cover the top
  • Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top of the prosciutto
  • Cut the layered puff pastry into a triangle and cut strips on each side of the triangle leaving the center attached
  • Twist each piece to create a tree and press the ends together to prevent the puff pastry from separating
  • Bake the Prosciutto Parmesan Puff Pastry Tree for 25 minutes or until the dough is light golden brown and baked throughout
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh thyme and rosemary and serve immediately
