  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water


  1. Combine both ingredients in a small saucepan
  2. Bring the two ingredients to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved
  3. Allow the simple syrup to boil for 3-4 minutes after the sugar is dissolved to thicken
  4. Allow the syrup to cool completely before using
  5. Use immediately or store in a air tight container in the refrigerator until ready to use


  • Simple Syrup can be enhanced with lemon zest or orange peel for a fresh citrus flavor
