Hibiscus Margarita Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 Ounces Tequila
  • 2 Ounces Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 Ounces Cointreau
  • 2 Ounces Hibiscus Simple Syrup
  • Salt and Tajin

Hibiscus Simple Syrup

  • ½ Cup Water
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Dried Hibiscus Flower

Instructions

Hibiscus Simple Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water, granulated sugar and hibiscus flower and bring to a simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and allow the hibiscus flower to steep in the sugar water for 20-30 minutes while cooling.
  • Pour the Hibiscus Syrup into a glass bottle or jar and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Hibiscus Margarita Recipe

  • Prepare the Glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into salt. Fill the glass with ice.
  • Shake the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combined the tequila, lime juice, cointreau and hibiscus simple syrup. Shake well for 15 seconds or until chilled.
  • Strain and Serve: Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice, top with a splash of sparkling water and garnish with a lime wedge and a fresh flower for a beautiful presentation.
