Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Cups Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Light Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 ½ Cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven- Set your oven to 350 degrees F and grease and line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix Together Dry Ingredients- In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; mix to combine.
  • Add in the Wet Ingredients- Add the melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until all ingredients are fully combined.
  • Add the Chocolate Chips- Fold the chocolate chips into the batter
  • Bake- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the bars are a light golden color and set in the middle.
  • Sprinkle with Salt, Cool and Slice- Once the bars come out of the oven, sprinkle the top of the bars with course sea salt. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into square. Serve and enjoy!
