As we are heading back to school and work after a wonderful winter break, the main goal is to stay healthy. We are doing everything we can to keep the colds down and our energy up and this delicious and easy Orange Vitamin C Immunity Smoothie is going to help you along the way!

Made with all fresh ingredients that are loaded with vitamins, whole and peeled oranges, bananas, frozen mango chunks, fresh ginger, lemon juice, honey and your milk of choice! This is a smoothie that you and your kids will love for breakfast, after school snack or can be enjoyed as a healthy dessert!

If you are into smoothies right now, you might also love this Blueberry Protein Smoothie or Mango Turmeric Smoothie.

    Ingredients

Frozen mango in a bowl next to two bananas, fresh ginger root, honey, sliced lemon, sliced orange and a glass of milk.

Oranges-A vitamin C boost! Peeled whole oranges are the perfect base for this immune boosting smoothie.
Bananas-Fresh or frozen, bananas will add a creamy texture to your smoothie and also high in potassium!
Mango-Did you know that mango is also loaded with Vitamin C? Frozen mango chunks will add a sweet flavor to this citrus smoothie.
Ginger-A perfect detoxifying ingredient and pairs perfectly with orange and lemon. If you don't love ginger, this can easily be removed and won't affect the consistency of the smoothie!
Lemon Juice-Lemons are loaded with vitamin c and is also great for digestion!
    Honey-Adding a hint of sweet!
Milk- I love adding unsweetened almond milk to this recipe, but you can use coconut milk, oat milk or regular cows milk!

    Step-by-Step Instructions

A blender filled with orange smoothie.
    • Combine the oranges, bananas, frozen mango, fresh ginger sliced, lemon juice, honey and almond milk to a high speed blender
    • Blend until all ingredients are fully combined and creamy (add more milk if needed)
Three clear glasses with orange smoothie, a pink straw, yellow straw and blue straw.

Tips and FAQS To Make The Best Smoothie

Can I Add Protein To This Smoothie?

Yes! You can always add a scoop of protein powder or collagen powder to add an extra boost of protein to this smoothie!

    Can I Use Frozen Bananas?

Absolutely! It is a smart idea to freeze bananas right before they go bad so you always have them on hand for a smoothie!

    Collagen or Protein Powder
I love adding a scoop of collagen or protein powder to all of my smoothies! My favorite collagen powder is Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.

    Other Ingredients You Can Add
Chia seeds are also a great addition to this smoothie! These are great for your digestive system and help get rid of toxins!

Loved it. Creamy and great flavor! Not too sweet and not too sour. I didn't add the ginger because I didn't have it, and I added a scoop of unflavored protein powder. I will make this again next time I have ginger to use up!

Made this smoothie with a couple additions and substitutions and it was great. Added half an avocado and a scoop of protein. Didn't have fresh ginger so used dried ground ginger. I also used a bai coconut water instead of almond milk. It was great! Thanks!
