One of my all time favorite cocktails, mainly because I feel like I am at a spa, The Best Cucumber Margaritas are quick and easy to make and can truly be enjoyed all year long. I love the earthly flavor combination that fresh muddled cucumbers, mint and lime juice create and why not make it a cocktail with your favorite tequila and spicy salt on the rim.
Tequila is such a versatile liquor that is low in calorie, has zero sugar, is naturally gluten free and it mixes well with so many different flavors. Blackberry Tequila Lemonade or The Perfect Paloma are a few of our favorites made with tequila.
Ingredients
Cucumber Tequila-Infused tequila is a fun way to add more flavor to your favorite cocktail. Combine sliced cucumbers and tequila in an airtight jar and infuse for 24 hours.
Lime-Fresh squeezed lime juice is the best options for this cocktail. Store bought or bottled lime juice will change the flavor and will not taste as great.
Simple Syrup- Made with only two ingredients, equal parts sugar and water simmered together until the sugar is dissolved. Simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.
Mint Leaves- Fresh mint leaves will be muddled with the cucumbers to release the juices and create the freshest flavor.
Cucumber Infused Tequila
Infused liquor is a super fun and fresh way to add flavor to your favorite cocktail. Combine sliced cucumbers and tequila in an airtight glass jar and then refrigerate the tequila for 24 hours to allow the flavor to fully come through! Infusing the tequila will enhance the flavor of the Cucumber Margarita.
Tips and FAQS
- Simple Syrup- Make the simple syrup in advance and keep in your refrigerator to use for all your cocktails.
- Make It Spicy- I love a spicy cocktail and adding the Spicy Salt on the rim is the perfect addition to this fresh and flavorful margarita
Using Agave Syrup is a good way to make this a skinny but you can also remove the simple syrup completely. This will make the drink more tart and less sweet but will still taste great!
Absolutely! You can buy cucumber infused tequila or using regular tequila will also taste great since you will have the flavors from the muddled cucumbers and mint.
