Ingredients
Puff Pastry- Frozen puff pastry is easy to find and makes a great appetizer. Make sure to start with 2-10 inch square pieces to create this perfect tree!
Olive Oil- Extra virgin olive oil adds a nice flavor and savory touch to the puff pastry. Melted butter is also a good option to brush on to the dough if you don't have olive oil.
Parmesan Cheese- Make sure to grab shredded parmesan to keep this a quick and easy appetizer
Prosciutto- Pick a good quality thinly sliced cured ham
Herbs- A perfect garnish, fresh rosemary or thyme can be sprinkled on right before serving.
Step-by-Step Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Lay 2 defrosted square of puff pastry on the counter and using a pastry brush, brush each side with a light coating of olive oil
- Place one puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet and sprinkle the shredded parmesan to cover one side of the puff pastry sheet
- Lay the prosciutto over the parmesan to evenly cover the top
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top of the prosciutto
- Cut the layered puff pastry into a triangle and cut strips on each side of the triangle leaving the center attached
- Twist each piece to create a tree and press the ends together to prevent the puff pastry from separating

- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh thyme and rosemary and serve immediately
