A recipe that I have been making for years and I decided it deserved the spotlight and its own recipe. Sugared Cranberries are my go to for my holiday garnish. I make them throughout December and love to use them on cakes and tarts, in cocktails and sprinkled over a charcuterie board. So sweet, savory or sips, these sparkly sweet, tart and ruby red gems are sure to bring christmas cheer.
Ingredients to Make Sugared Cranberries
Made with only three ingredients, this is the perfect and easy garnish to decorate your desserts, cocktails or table.
Granulated Sugar
Water
Fresh Cranberries
How To Make Sugared Cranberries
- In a medium sauce pan, combine the granulated sugar and water and bring to a boil and continue boiling until the sugar is dissolved
- Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the pan from the heat and pour the fresh cranberries into the syrup
- Let the cranberries sit in the syrup for 10 minutes to allow them to absorb the syrup
- Strain the cranberries from the syrup and place them on a baking sheet in a single layer
- While the cranberries are sticky, dredge them in granulated sugar and place them onto a clean baking sheet to dry
- Allow the sugared cranberries to dry for 10 minutes before using
