Sometimes halloween sneaks up on us and we don't have all the fun and festive treats and goodies ready that we hoped we would have. There are so many fun sweet and salty treats that you can make to make your table festive, but a simple and easy Halloween Cheese Board is all you really need to make a statement for your guests.

While your kids are in and out trick-or-treating, this Halloween Cheese Board is so perfect to snack on while enjoying a spooky cocktail and our favorite Halloween Snack Mix. Grab a festive platter and pick out your favorite stinky, but delicious, cheeses, fresh fruit, nuts and delicious artichoke hearts. Make it extra scary with a skulls head and creepy crawling spiders all over the platter.

What You Need To Make A Spooky Halloween Cheese Board

A ghost platter filled with blackberries, grapes, apple slices, three cheese wedges, olives and artichoke hearts.

    Cheeses
Pick a few cheeses that might look a little spooky and stinky but taste delicious! I love choosing a delicious blue cheese that crumbles, a blueberry goat cheese log, an herb infused cheese and even a wine aged cheese. These will give a variety of flavors and textures.
    Nuts
The salty addition of nuts is always a great idea when pairing with cheese. Pick your favorite nut assortment whether it is salty or sweet and sprinkle them on the cheese board to fill in the gaps.
    Fruits
Choose a dark colored fruit like blackberries, blueberries or dark grapes.
    Vegetables
I love adding a vegetable like artichoke hearts or an artichoke spread to a cheese board. These are grilled artichoke hearts from Trader Joes that are pre grilled and packaged and a delicious addition.
    Olives
Green, black or kalamata olives are salty and pairs so well with a variety of cheeses.
