A spooktacular Halloween punch with only three ingredients, Hocus Pocus Punch is perfect to sip on for a fun-filled Halloween night.  Whether you are hosting a Halloween Party, carving pumpkins, or just enjoying the door-to-door trick or treaters, this punch is delicious, super simple to make, and oh so festive.

Would you like to save this?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!

The bright lime green potion is made up of sprite, pineapple juice, lime sherbet, and fresh lime slices and poured into a large punch bowl. Each glass is given a fun look with a festive sprinkle rim. Once the punch is ready to serve you can add in a few small chips of food-grade dry ice to make it extra spooky. Make sure that the dry ice dissipates before consuming the punch!

This punch will quickly become the star of the show at your Halloween party. Hocus Pocus Punch pairs amazingly with this Halloween Snack Mix and Halloween Snack Board. There are no tricks just treats for this fun, party-ready Halloween Hocus Pocus Punch Recipe! I loved sharing this recipe with Lee over at DoSayGive!

    Hocus Pocus Punch Ingredients

A bottle of sprite, Halloween cups, a small white bowl of lemons, green lime sherbet and a can of pineapple juice.

Sprite- If you want a slightly less sugary alternative, you can use Sprite Zero

Pineapple Juice- For fruity flavor and sweetness

Lime Sherbet- Sherbet will add a rich creaminess to the punch. Lime will add a delicious citrus flavor and spooky lime green color. If you can’t find lime sherbet you can use orange sherbet for a fun and bright orange punch!

    Limes- As a nice garnish

Dry Ice- If you want to add this special effect, use food-grade dry ice

How to Make Hocus Pocus Punch

    Decorate the Glass
Using a spatula or pastry brush, spread a very light coating of honey on the side of the glass or dip the rim of the glass in the honey.

Dip the glass in the halloween sprinkles and allow it to dry while you are making the punch.

    Make the Halloween Punch

    1. Scoop the lime sorbet into the bottom of a large punch bowl
    2. Pour sprite and pineapple juice, add the lime slices and stir
    3. Wearing gloves or using tongs, gently break up the dry ice and sprinkle a few pieces into the punch to add a smokey effect
    4. Serve in your decorated glasses and enjoy!

Tips to Make Hocus Pocus Punch Extra Special

Make Hocus Pocus Punch a Cocktail
Take this from a mocktail to a cocktail, add 2 cups of chilled vodka to the punch and stir!

    Lime Sherbet
If you are having a hard time finding lime sherbet, you can always use orange flavored sherbet. This will make the punch orange in color but will still taste great!

    How to Handle Dry Ice

Dry ice is going to make this punch extra special and fun for your party. Dry ice is just used for the spooky affects and not to be consumed!

    1. Do not Ingest: make sure the dry ice is completely dissolved before drinking your punch
    2. Use Small Pieces: Break the dry ice into small pieces to that is dissolves faster
    3. Handle with Care: Always wear gloves or use a tong to handle the dry ice. Never touch directly with bare skin.

Should the sprite be mixed at room temperature or should you refrigerate the sprite before hand? Thanks!

        Hi Regina,
I like adding the sprite straight from the refrigerator so it is cold but room temperature also works fine bc you are adding the dry ice which will make it cold as well!

The recipe ingredients call for pineapple juice but the instructions (step 3) call for lime juice. Is step 3 of the instructions referring to the pineapple juice or should the pineapple juice be lime juice?

I apologize, that was a typo! It is pineapple juice like the ingredient list shows!

I can’t find lime sorbet anywhere. Can I go without it or substitute it for something else?

What if someone dished out the dry ice in their cup? They could ingest it. How do I make sure that doesn’t happen? I can’t stay at the punch bowl.

This is a 3 gallon punch bowl! You can you usually find dry ice at your local grocery store.
