Oreo Crust
The Most simple crust you will ever make, this Oreo Crust is made with two ingredients, crushed Oreos and butter and there is no baking required
Chocolate Cream Filling
A traditional custard filling made with heavy cream, egg yolks, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and chocolate make up this perfectly silky filling
Chocolate Whipped Cream
The only thing better than fresh whipped cream is Chocolate Whipped Cream. Made with heavy cream, powdered sugar for sweetness and cocoa powder for a perfect hint of chocolate to garnish this Triple Chocolate Cream Pie
How To Make Triple Chocolate Cream Pie
Prepare the Oreo Crust
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed oreos and the melted butter and mix until fully combined
- Press the oreo crust into a 9 inch pie dish until it is evenly distributed on the bottom and the sides of the pie dish
- Place the oreo crust in the refrigerator while preparing the chocolate cream filling
Prepare the Chocolate Cream Filling
- In a medium bowl, whisk together egg yolks, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and salt; set aside
- In medium saucepan heat the heavy cream until it comes to a simmer
- Add the semisweet chocolate chips to the heavy cream and whisk until smooth
- Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg yolk mixture, continuously whisking until fully combined
- Pour the custard back into the saucepan and on low heat continue cooking and stirring the custard until it is thick and coats the back of a wood spoon (approximately 5 minutes)
- Strain the custard through a fine sieve
- Pour the Chocolate Cream Filling into the Oreo Crust and allow it to cool completely
- Refrigerate the Chocolate Cream Pie for 4-6 hours or overnight to allow the custard to set completely
Prepare the Chocolate Whipped Cream
- In a mixing bowl with whisk attachment, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar and cocoa powder and whisk until the heavy cream becomes thick and starts to form ribbons
- Spread the Chocolate Whipped Cream on top of the chilled Chocolate Cream Pie and garnish with chocolate shavings and serve!
Triple Chocolate Cream Pie Tips
- The Oreo crust does not need to be bake, but if you prefer a crunchy crust, you can bake the crust before the chocolate filling is poured in for 5-8 minutes
- Taking your time with the custard it the key to a smooth and creamy texture. Once the custard is back on the stove this needs to be a slow process to thicken so that you don't over cook the eggs and they become chunks in the custard. Keep the heat on low and continuously stir with wood spoon until it becomes thick
- When slicing the pie, make sure that it is very cold for a clean and easy serving

¼ Cup Powdered Sugar
4 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
